- Shelter and door are 1/4" steel plate
- Anchored to the slab with 5/8" Hilti bolts, up to 10,000 psi shear per bolt
- Four stainless steel locking pins and a keyed deadbolt
- Ventilation in the door, with removable vents for an emergency exit
- 36" handicap-accessible door, with a 24" door available
- Powder coated, robotically welded, and laser cut
- Installs in new construction, an existing garage, or on a concrete patio
- Structural cage is required when the unit is wider than 4' or longer than 8'
- Custom sizes in 6" increments, up to 8' tall
Meets FEMA 320 and 361 and ICC 500, carries a third-party engineer seal, and was impact tested by the Texas Tech Wind Science and Engineering Research Center. Built to withstand an EF5 tornado. U.S. Patent 8,176,692; 8,511,005; 8,991,112.
